Summer Testing

Please be aware that COVID-19 testing will be available this summer, but at a modified schedule.  Please see below:

Beginning Monday May 23rd through Friday August 12th, summer COVID-19 testing hours in our Decker Hall testing site are:

  • Mondays and Thursdays 1pm – 3pm
  • Monday May 31st CLOSED –  open on Tuesday June 1st 1pm – 3pm
  • Monday July 4th CLOSED – open on Tuesday July 5th 1pm – 3pm

Students will also have access to at-home self tests for purchase in Student Health Services.  Cost is $12 and includes two test kits.

If you have not registered in the past with Bergen New Bridge you must register before scheduling your testing appointment.

You MUST use your TCNJ email address when registering and in all communications with BNBMC. You must also provide your first name (not preferred name or nickname), last name, date of birth, and current insurance information.

BNBMC will bill your personal health insurance plan for the cost of testing. Whatever cost is not paid by your insurance plan will be paid by TCNJ, but the bill must go through your health insurance plan first.

Testing Location:

The testing site is located in the Decker Hall Social Space. There are directional signs posted in the Decker Hall area. Please enter this location using the back door of Decker Hall. Remember to bring your TCNJ ID Card for access to the building. You MUST HAVE AN APPOINTMENT TO BE TESTED. Your appointment is scheduled at the end of your registration process.

Do I need to register for 2022?
Only if you have never been tested in the Decker Hall site in the past.

What should I do if I don’t feel well?
If you are not feeling well, update your ROAR app Daily Self-Checkup.  Begin to isolate yourself. Do not report for work or class. Schedule an appointment at the campus testing site.  If you test negative but continue to feel ill, repeat your COVID-19 test in 24 – 48 hours and continue to isolate for 5 days or until your symptoms improve.

Do I need an appointment?
YES, you must have an appointment for testing. You can select a testing appointment at: You will receive an appointment reminder via text message and email 24 hours prior to your appointment.

How quickly can I get my results?
On average, your result will be available within 3 hours and you will receive a text of those results.  On occasion, results are delayed.  You will NOT receive a phone call with your results unless they are positive. You will receive a text when test results are ready and a link to the Navus portal to retrieve your results.

Note: TCNJ members with positive test results will be notified at the phone number you provided with your registration. Please answer your phone.

Can I bring my family and friends to the TCNJ Decker Hall Testing site?
NO, our TCNJ COVID-19 testing site is for current TCNJ employees and students only.

How can I cancel or reschedule my testing appointment?
Testing is in high demand and we appreciate you canceling your appointment so others can be tested.  Use your email from Calendly to cancel or reschedule your appointment.
